The Contemporary Museum building is to be situated in a premium location within the city's historical old town, in a vicinity of existing museums and monuments. The neighboring landscape is strongly marked by gothic and modernist architecture surrounded by parks.
The Museum will house an exceptional collection of acknowledged contemporary art, but its main goal is to create a dynamic ecosystem of cultural exchange reaching beyond the traditional idea of an art exhibition.
Wroclaw is a rapidly developing city (pop. 700.000) with a strong cultural and economic background, and multinational history. It is situated in southwestern part of Poland (3hrs drive from both Berlin and Prague), and is one of Poland's largest and richest cities.
