Pour sa deuxième édition, le Grand Prix du Livre d’Histoire a été décerné le 2 octobre 2008 au Château de Nantes, dans ce lieu symbolique où fut signé l’Édit de Nantes en 1598.

The 2008 Ig Nobel Prizes were awarded on Thursday night, October 2, at the 18th First Annual Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony, at Harvard's Sanders Theatre. We will soon post video of the ceremony.

The Ig Nobel Prizes are a parody of the Nobel Prizes and are given each year in early October — around the time the recipients of the genuine Nobel Prizes are announced — for ten achievements that "first make people laugh, and then make them think." Organized by the scientific humor magazine Annals of Improbable Research (AIR), they are presented by a group that includes genuine Nobel Laureates at a ceremony at Harvard University's Sanders Theater.

Cette année pour le Prix Littéraire 30 Millions d'Amis, le “Goncourt des animaux”, les membres du jury : Françoise Xenakis, Irène Frain, Reha Kutlu-Hutin, Anny Duperey, Didier Decoin et Robert Sabatier de l'Académie Goncourt, Frédéric Vitoux de l'Académie Française, Patrick Cauvin, Rémo Forlani et Bernard Werber accueillent en leur sein, l'écrivain Didier van Cauwelaert.
